Teaching Aids

  • The internet has brought the teaching aids market to the masses with more and more people looking to extend classroom learning to the home. Learning has to be fun, it has to be mixed and it has to make the child think, this is where the array of teaching aids come forward.
  • HDA has introduced a whole range of certificates and awards to recognize when a child has done well and to reward them for their efforts. The main purpose is to give the child a sense of achievement and something to show their parents when they go home. Certificates and awards are also used by those who teach their children at home.
  • Every child has a creative mind but the difficulty is teaching them how to use it and bringing the best out of them. Creative writing and stories are a perfect opportunity to give a child the opportunity to put their thoughts down in writing. Creative writing flip charts can prompt certain thoughts in a child’s mind.
  • Interactive learning, whether on the internet on using a DVD, is an excellent way to interact with a child and prompt them to take notice of the information in front of them. Simply by letting a child feel part of the learning process their concentration span is expanded and they are now susceptible to taking in the information. Long drawn out lessons where children are asked to listen all of the time can tire a child and much of the information will not register.
